Power Flow

Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm with Emily

This power vinyasa-inspired class emphasizes a seamless use of breath linking one posture to the next to create a sequence of flowing mindful movement. This more vigorous style of yoga increases strength, joint mobility, balance and mental focus to cultivate an inner sense of peace and power, with time for deep relaxation and meditation to conclude the practice. Some previous yoga experience is recommended but all levels of students are welcome.

Slow Flow

Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm with Emily

This slow but powerful vinyasa-inspired class follows a basic sequence of yoga poses that allows students to practice moving the body and breath together in a mindful way. It is suitable for beginners yet still appropriate for the more seasoned yoga student with focus on strength and alignment, while creating space and a sense of ease in the body and mind.

Chair Yoga

Wednesdays 11:00am-12:00pm with Emily

Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga that adapts postures through creative use of a chair. Poses are done seated or the chair is used for support during standing and balancing postures, and with transitioning to the ground for gentle floor work. The chair allows for greater stability to help students feel supported and safe, so that even those with health restrictions, decreased range of motion, and physical challenges can enjoy the benefits of a traditional yoga practice. Emphasis will be on breathing, balance, gentle strengthening and taking things at your own pace. Chair Yoga is wonderful for seniors and anyone with some mobility limitations.

Flow & Relax Yoga Series with Lori

Mondays 9:30am – 10:45am, Feb. 12th for 4 weeks.  Drop in welcome!!

Jump into the new year with a weekly yoga class led by Lori Tofaute, who brings 17 years of teaching experience to her class instruction! Each week we will start with an energizing and gentle flow of yoga poses and finish with a restful and relaxing restorative posture. Whether your resolution is to work harder or rest more, this series of yoga classes will be the perfect combination. Classes will be held in a heated studio: warm, cozy, and perfect for cold, winter mornings. Beginners and seasoned yogis welcome!

 

 

 

 

**Class Series' will require a minimum number of students pre-registered by a predetermined date for the course to take place. If the series is cancelled due to low-enrollment, a full refund or credit for Breathe: A Family Yoga Center will be issued to those students who pre-registered.
